Description
- Handling relationships with assigned distributed independent labels.
- Working with labels, artists, and internal team to create and execute release development plans and strategies.
- Negotiating deals and set-up contracts with artists, label partners, distribution partners.
- Tracking pre and post release drivers.
- Contributing to the creation of strategies and campaigns to develop the catalogue of assigned label roster.
- Ensuring the labels’ business requirements are met in collaboration with internal managers.
- Adhering to style conventions and content guidelines when verifying audio, metadata, video, and artwork.
- Processing updates needed for the existing catalogue such as deletions, pricing adjustments, territories adjustments, and DSP.
- Scheduling releases and releases announcements.
- Managing digital release set-ups.
- Working with Social Media Managers and Publicists with marketing strategies.
- Using data and analytics tools to make decisions about marketing and sales.
- Handling communication, statements, sales reports, and accounting for digital and physical distribution.
- Compiling requests and sync for licensing.
- Conducting Neighbouring Rights administration.
- Negotiating deals, contracting, and administering of sync requests.
- Administering Royalty/Artist statements.
- Exploiting the back catalogue.
- Registering new catalogue.
- Pitching catalogue to publishing administrators/ music supervisors.
Requirements
- In-depth electronic music knowledge and dance music culture.
- Awareness of music industry developments and changes.
- Genre expertise in electronic music, such as House and Techno.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the current retail landscape.
- Extensive label operations experience.
- Previous experience with digital and physical music operations experience.
- Experience with metadata best practices.
- Solid communication skills.
- Content to work independently.
- Able to build strong business relationships with key industry partners.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Good understanding of MS Excel.
- Experience using design software and video creation/editing software is advantageous.
- Organised and strong attention to detail.
