Your role, as Partnerships Manager is to develop, nurture and maintain relationships with our key clients, win new business and create long-term partnerships. You’ll develop a regular meeting cycle, constantly thinking of creative and engaging ways to connect with your clients. Always on the move heading to clients’ offices, bouncing from meeting to meeting. Basically, you’ll be drinking a lot of tea & coffee.
A big personality is needed to sell a big music library, so we want someone who will be constantly promoting the Universal Production Music repertoire and talking up our Music Supervision service. You’ll entice our clients to send accurate & detailed music briefs for their upcoming productions.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Be Collaborative
  • Building relationships with key clients via face-to-face meetings
  • Advising clients on licensing and rates
  • Offering efficient technical support for clients with any queries related to our website and music
  • Attending client events/trade shows/industry events as required and representing the company appropriately
  • Work with Universal Production Music’s marketing team to ensure that all activations support the wider sales goals, actively contributing ideas, and initiatives for client engagement across PR, e-marketing, targeted campaigns, promotions, and social media
  • They provide client feedback to the Production Team including pitching, new track & album ideas
  • Support the Partnerships Director contributing to our commercial goals and to key projects undertaken to develop and grow our business

  • Maintaining your client accounts within our database (Salesforce & DAMS)
  • Efficiently following up on all tasks resulting from your client meetings

  • Proactively promoting our wide range of services and music to our clients

  • Assisting in planning, implementing, and driving all aspects of the Universal Production Music sales & marketing strategy
  • Help increase our market share & usage with major UK broadcasters and production companies

Requirements

Person Specification
  • Experience in account management of either major broadcasters, advertising agencies, brands or TV production companies
  • A strong understanding of (production) music and film & TV licensing
  • Ability to manage your time and work to tight deadlines
  • Comfortable juggling multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Drive to win new business
  • Articulate, personable, with an eye for detail, organised, numerate, and a self-motivator
  • Team player – measuring success by the whole team’s performance
  • Calm under pressure and relaxed with clients
  • Persistent, tenacious and results oriented
  • Confident communicator, able to be forthright and to disagree or deliver bad news in a way that remains constructive and helpful as opposed to argumentative or aggressive

  • A good sense of humour & confident

  • A music obsessive would be preferable. Involvement in the wider music industry either personally or professionally would be welcomed
