The Media & Community Partnerships team works with partners across entertainment, creators, public figures, news, sports, community leaders and nonprofits across the family of apps. The team is focused on helping build and grow innovative and meaningful content and community engagement experiences and businesses that deliver sustainable value for our partners in the form of audience, advertising revenue, and conversions. The team works on a wide range of product initiatives, including: Watch, Live, IGTV, Reels, Partner Monetization, News, Groups, Charitable Giving, Health and Education. The team also provides horizontal support across these areas for deals, content strategy and planning, audience development, product marketing, creative strategy, scaled outreach, and company-wide efforts like cultural relevance, IP regulation, racial justice initiatives and curation.The Music Artists Partnerships team is seeking a Strategic Partner Manager to scale, execute, and maintain partnerships with a key portfolio of key music industry partners. This role is an important part of the Music Artists Partnerships team, and this individual will work with both internal and external stakeholders to implement strategic partnerships plans to build community and develop innovative experiences across Facebook, Inc.This role requires the ability to combine high levels of strategic thought with expert execution. This person must be capable of and enthusiastic about handling all elements of partner management, from maintaining high-profile relationships to supporting day-to-day operations, such as fielding and prioritizing partner requests, troubleshooting partner issues, and using analytics to improve partner performance. A strong sense of prioritization and focus is required, as well as excellent relationship building skills and communication. The Strategic Partner Manager's role will manage day-to-day needs of partner outreach programs, including monitoring artist insights, and assisting in educating music partners across the music industry.
  • General program and partner management for the Music Artists Partnerships team. This includes partner and program support, execution and development, general project planning, as well as new programming opportunities.
  • Identify and track industry trends, key artist moments, and culturally relevant music events and help to drive the team’s strategic approach to these opportunities.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop and execute innovative partnerships with Facebook.
  • Work closely with Partnerships colleagues to coordinate on key industry opportunities (e.g. around key events, shows, product launches, etc.).
  • Track, analyze and communicate quantitative metrics and platform performance as they relate to partners.
  • Handle operational tasks, escalate product issues and feedback, and support partner troubleshooting to completion.
  • Support the creation of product education and partner best practices materials.
  • Use data and artist insights to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Execute in an intense, fast-paced, and highly iterative environment.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree
  • 5+ years of experience in an external-facing partner management or program management role
Preferred Qualification
  • Experience working directly with artist management companies, record labels, and music events partners with a proven track record of developing impactful relationships
  • Program Management experience
  • Experience working across multiple teams, initiating and nurturing collaboration to achieve both team and company goals
  • Experience creating strategies around complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans, with an added focus on using data to make decisions
  • Experience working across all levels of management, both internally and externally
