We are looking for a Social Media Specialist to build growth and engagement across the Fender Social Media Channels.
About The Job
  • Develop and manage posts across Fender’s Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube accounts through creation and curation of quality content including Fender, Fender Play, and Fender Custom Shop Develop and manage a social media calendar that aligns with business priorities, write copy, and execute posting across all channels
  • Proactively engage with and build community, creating a true 2-way dialogue with fans, which can include (but not limited to) UGC collection and distribution, assisting in giveaway execution, engaging in the comments section, etc.
  • Manage artist content (artist takeovers, technique of the week, artist check-ins, etc.) with the regional and global teams, ensuring artist content is integrated in an authentic and relevant way
  • Work closely across Artist Relations, Integrated Marketing, Public Relations and Creative teams to ensure social content is aligned with overall marketing strategy Work with external agencies to ensure social content aligns with brand guidelines and best practices
  • Implement best practices across channels (hashtag, tagging, & posting strategies)
  • Communicate brand voice and aesthetic, optimize user engagement, grow follower base and improve brand awareness and sentiment

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in content production, social media or community management
  • Bachelor of Arts in Communication, music or related field
  • Understanding of the Fender brand and passionate about music
  • Experience with social media management tools like Spredfast/Khoros, Creator Studio, YouTube Analytics preferred
  • Experience with office tools including Slack, Microsoft Office Suite, Keynote preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative suite including video editing and graphic design
  • Exceptional writing skills and extremely detail oriented
  • Experience with crisis management, customer service
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills with an ability to make decisions for the business
  • Able to view, listen to and evaluate content created, ensuring high-quality engagement
  • Team-player; ability to work proactively with all business divisions and drive results
  • Future ability to travel to content shoots, meetups, and other events to capture and produce necessary content and build direct relationship with community
  • Able to use a phone & computer for content capture, and content moderation
  • Experience with sound editing is a plus.
  • Creative agency management experience is a plus.
