As Research Manager, you will play a crucial role in Vevo’s growing international business (predominantly EU & APAC), and be responsible for leading the research function and informing the commercial insight strategy. This role currently reports to the SVP of International Sales & Partnerships and you will be working at the cutting edge of digital advertising, connected TV and music videos.
Our ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of the UK media and connected TV landscape and the trends and forces driving industry change. You will also have a desire to analyse and understand our EU and APAC territories.
This is a full-time position and is based at our office in London.
As a member of our team, you will
  • Lead all areas of the international research strategy
  • Conduct and commission quantitative and qualitative research to deliver data driven insights (including internal data requests, brand lift studies, audience measurement, advertising effectiveness and more)
  • Partner with Business Directors, sales leaders and senior business leaders using data and insights to build and shape Vevo’s commercial and CTV narrative
  • Manage external vendor relationships and identify new opportunities for market-specific and global campaign measurement, particularly for Connected TV
  • Shape the research strategy by identifying, planning, and curating new opportunities & informing tactical decision making
  • Create cohesive Vevo sales and marketing narratives for our global brand partners
  • Represent Vevo UK in trade & comms opportunities & keep up to date with our research and industry peers on best practices and current developments in the digital advertising and CTV markets
  • Commission and manage large scale research projects with new and existing vendors and industry peers
  • Partner with US Research counterparts on global initiatives and best practices
  • Line manage one Senior Research Analyst

Requirements

This describes you
  • You are a creative thinker and skilled at using data to validate a narrative and tell a story
  • You can compile, synthesize and distill data from multiple sources, and communicate findings and implications to a variety of audiences with varying levels of technical understanding
  • You have a solid grasp of the UK media landscape and the trends and forces driving industry change
  • You have a desire to compete for client advertising budgets and value growing a business that supports musicians and artists
  • Requirements
  • 10+ years’ experience in media or advertising research
  • Familiarity with syndicated and advertising research metrics and tools including but not limited to brand lift studies, advertising effectiveness studies, Nielsen DAR, comScore, and Kantar
  • Ability to read and interpret complex data sets
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Google Suite
  • Ability to lead and build relationships both with internal teams and external vendors
  • Capability to project manage 1st party research studies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working with senior business leaders
