About the job We in the Confidence by Spotify team are looking for a Customer Success Engineer with a unique balance of technical knowledge, a user focus, and interpersonal skills to kick start the area focused on providing expert support to our customers and automating problem-solving.
We’re seeking versatile engineers skilled in backend, web and/or mobile development and customer interaction. Your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain strong relationships with our current customers, ensuring their success and satisfaction with our commercial Confidence product and services. Ideal candidates have a strong background in developer relations, technical consulting, and customer management or similar roles. We love it if you know about A/B testing and experimentation.

What You'll Do
  • Act as a technical point of contact for customers, understanding their needs, objectives, and challenges, providing guidance and support in utilizing Confidence effectively.
  • Onboard new customers through the implementation process, ensuring a smooth transition to using Backstage.
  • Identify points of friction in the onboarding and adoption experience of Confidence.
  • Triage new feature requests, issues, and customer concerns.
  • Conduct product demos, training, and workshops to empower customers in using Confidence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product, marketing, and engineering, to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Write documentation, tutorials and content to help Confidence customers to be successful.

Requirements

Who You Are
  • You have an understanding of how developers work and collaborate as well as extensive experience with modern product development processes.
  • React, TypeScript and Node are a part of your tool-belt, knowledge working with GraphQL is a bonus. If you know Java and Python: awesome!
  • Experience developing resources to support a developer focused product (i.e. documentation tutorials, sample apps, API client libraries).
  • Excellent communicator with strong focus on customer needs.
  • Having worked in tech consulting and/or customer management.
  • Experience running A/B tests, or doing other types of experimentation.
