The Role
We have a rare opportunity to join PRS for Music as a Risk Analyst (apprentice). This new team member will study for a Business & Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship over 12 months while supporting us to expand the capacity and capability of the Risk Team and help us to improve the maturity of the vital risk management function within PRS for Music. The successful applicant will provide support to the two existing members of the Risk Team as well as being responsible for your own work.
Please note, the successful applicant is required to pass a skills assessment before being offered the apprenticeship and role.
About The Team
At PRS for Music the Risk and Operational Compliance function is responsible for ensuring that an effective risk management framework is in place to allow significant financial, operational and reputational risks and compliance issues to be identified, managed and communicated to the Board, the ELT and business stakeholders.
  • As our Risk Analyst (Apprentice), some of your day to day duties will include….
  • General business administration, co-ordinating meetings, setting agendas, planning work.
  • Working with the Risk Team and the wider organisation to update risk registers.
  • Supporting our internal auditors to deliver the annual internal audit plan.
  • Supporting the Risk Manager to oversee PRS for Music’s operational policies.
  • Supporting the Risk Team to manage PRS for Music’s insurance policies.

Requirements

  • A good communicator. The Risk Team works in partnership with other areas of the business, so you’ll need to be comfortable speaking to colleagues and listening to what they have to say.
  • Willing to ask questions. Part of our job is to challenge (in a constructive way!) what the business does.
  • A team player. The Risk Team is a small team (you’ll be the third member) and we cover a lot of ground. We can only do this if we work closely together. You’ll also get involved in projects and will need to work closely with the rest of the organisation.
  • Be focused and attention to detail. Our work is shared across the organisation, so it’s important that it’s clear and accurate and it’s something that you’re proud of. Please note, the successful applicant is required to pass a skills assessment before being offered the apprenticeship and role.
About the apprenticeship training provider
Paragon Skills is a leading national Apprenticeship training provider supporting over 4,000 learners through their training, and 1,500 organisations to consistently deliver high quality Apprenticeships across their businesses. By using a blended approach in delivering training, Paragon learners are always at the forefront of priorities. All learners will be assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact through the course. Regular catch-up meetings, check in emails and phone calls can all be expected to ensure learners are progressing through the qualification.
In addition to support, you’ll receive from Paragon, PRS for Music will give you 20% of your working hours solely towards study of you Business & Administration Level 3 to give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible!
