Description

Strategic Responsibility:
Strengthen Integrity Music’s presence and brand awareness at radio by building strong working relationships with key influential network programmers, program directors, music directors and independent promoters. Proactively collaborate with A&R, marketing, and President of the Label to select singles to be promoted, with an ear toward consumer demand, market potential, and transformation impact. Responsible to build strategy plan and appropriate tactical team for each single release, thereby maximizing audience for promoted radio singles in support of the overall Sales, Marketing, and Publishing efforts of Integrity Music. This position is also responsible to ensure that all associated budgets are adhered to within the scope of radio promotion established in each marketing plan.
Job Description:
  • Listen to early audio (i.e., rough mixes) from artists and the A&R team, working with A&R and President of the Label to communicate with artists and managers regarding potential radio singles and edits prior to final mastering. After receiving input from the artists, managers, A&R and marketing, drive the scheduling of all meetings to review potential radio singles with appropriate staff and consultants (e.g., A&R, Marketing, Sales, President of the Label, etc.). As needed, solicit song pre-release feedback from key individuals including consultants, promoters, and select radio programmers.
  • As radio singles are selected; offer input and work with the team to develop, communicate, and implement effective strategies and timing across all formats to ensure the highest audience and chart potential and success. Create marketing plan specific to each radio single prior to release.
  • Work with A&R and Marketing (incl. Streaming, PR, Creative, etc.) to choose and develop audio, video, visual and text content for initial song announcements (Play MPE) via e-mail. Submit artist/song details and copy to Play MPE, and follow up to obtain access stats (number of streams and downloads generated by e-mail blast).
  • Transfer / upload radio assets (audio, video, images) to the shared file network (Box) to ensure convenient access for staff and delivery to U.S. and international radio partners.
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate radio promotional strategies including promotional tours, as applicable to deliver engagement and emotional/strategic buy-in with radio programmers and influencers. Proactively communicate internally and externally with all associated persons to ensure successful promotions and events. Be present on promo tours and at events to direct artists, facilitate interviews and develop relationships with network and station programmers and directors. Visually document artist meetings and events and forward content to social media personnel.
  • Secure radio station and radio network adds for Integrity Music artists and songs through consistent communication with radio programmers and music directors. Contact radio programmers and music directors weekly to create awareness of any singles being actively promoted to radio. Encourage review of singles, share stories and motivations behind the artist(s) and song(s), discuss benefits of adding the single(s), share relevant success data, and overcome any objections to adding the single(s).
  • Generate and distribute weekly radio performance reports for singles showing total audience, charting, trends, top stations, etc., to appropriate staff, artists and managers.
  • Develop promotions for and attend radio industry events such as Momentum (CMB), Regional Summits (CMB), K-Love Fan Awards and NRB (National Radio Broadcasters). When appropriate, coordinate with event planners to secure artist and staff attendance, backstage access, promotional signage, and sponsorships.
  • Manage outside services of radio promoters working on additional artists and songs, providing all reporting on song adds and position activity to all stakeholders.

Requirements

Position Requirements:
  • Formal Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Broadcasting, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 of experience in radio, promotion, publicity, and/or sales required; music industry experience preferred
  • Specialized Knowledge/Certification: N/A
  • Equipment Knowledge: Mac Computers, MS Office, Apple/Mac productivity apps; familiar with music streaming/playlisting apps/services

**Working Conditions: **
  • Comfortable working conditions, handling light weight, intermittent sitting, standing and walking.
  • Working environment cubicle office and co-working spaces with some noise.
  • Detail-oriented work requiring mental acuity and accuracy.
  • Normal business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) are typical but must have a willingness and flexibility to work during evenings and weekends if/when necessary.
  • Some travel may be required.
