This is a 12 month fixed term contract with an immediate start.
Columbia records are looking for a Radio and Streaming Manager to work across an exciting roster of artists.
The radio and streaming department at Columbia is a front line and fast paced environment. You will need to have previous experience in a similar role and strong contacts across all key radio stations in the UK and ideally at DSPs too. You’ll be responsible for executing campaigns for brand new artists at specialist level, all the way through to established artists at mainstream radio and everything in between!
What you'll do:
  • Planning and executing national radio and streaming campaigns across a roster of Columbia Records artists – creating bespoke plans for each and being creative in their implementation
  • Working records at spotify and apple, ensuring editors are kept up to date with new developments and introducing them to our new artists
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key contacts at national radio stations and streaming platforms
  • Work with, and report back to internal marketing, A&R, promotions teams and artist management on radio & streaming campaigns
  • Securing radio airplay for our artists (from specialist spot plays all the way through to radio playlists)
  • Pitching for and supervising promo opportunities (sessions/interviews/live radio events for example)
  • Pitching for support at apple and spotify
  • Suggesting remix ideas to the A&R team and commissioning radio edits
  • Staying informed of changes and developments within the UK radio industry and how they impact Columbia artists

Requirements

  • Proven experience actively plugging national radio in a similar role
  • Demonstrable relationships across music teams, producers, assistant producers and DJs at national radio stations as well as ideally relationships at the DSPs
  • Versatility across a range of music genres and varying levels of artist careers
  • Very strong communication, relationship building and negotiating skills
  • Awareness of the Columbia roster and the wider music scene
  • In order to be able to take on this role successfully, you will need to be able to attend all necessary gigs, radio events, regular radio meetings etc and work in a fast paced, often highly pressured environment.
