** Product Manager (Catalogue Recordings) **

BMG’s UK Catalogue business is growing rapidly and with a team comprising approximately 40 people, we’re a fast-paced department with a wide remit. As part of the Repertoire Management and Marketing Team, you would be responsible for producing anything from cutting edge digital content and consumption initiatives to high-end physical products, including multi-format artist box sets as well as reissue campaigns, and branded series with associated marketing campaigns.
As a Product Manager you will need to be organised and adaptable, react quickly to the demands of the role and be able to execute multiple projects simultaneously. You will be a strong communicator and able to liaise effectively with colleagues across the team including Digital and International Marketing, Streaming and Physical Sales, our in-house Design Studio and Licensing teams along with artists and artist managers, plus a multitude of external partners.
What You'll Be Doing.
** Product Development: **
  • Liaising with Supply Chain and setting up digital releases, with attendant IGs, videos etc.
  • Coordinating with production on specs, booking capacity, deliverables and timelines for physical titles and ensuring releases stay on track and deadlines are met.
  • First point contact for all audio mastering. Coordinating with studios on the delivery of audio for all physical and digital releases.
  • Full proofing of all release artwork and audio, and securing approvals from artists/managers.
  • Checking finished products and ensuring products appear correctly on platform.
  • Direct-to-consumer (D2C) stores set ups.
  • Supporting other Repertoire / Marketing team members and senior management where needed.
Marketing
  • Implementing marketing plans for all releases and managing production of creative assets for all releases.
  • Preparing all marketing tools – including streaming pitch forms, sales sheets, press releases and photos, adapted appropriately for different territories.
  • Co-ordinating plans for artist socials and liaising with BMG’s International team, external social media managers and digital agencies about approvals and scheduling of content
  • Liaising with artist managers for approval of marketing assets (digital ads, sizzle reels, videos etc) and creating strategy, content and copy for artist/label websites and socials.
General Administration
  • Ordering promo copies and booking couriers.
  • Meeting management (inc. minute taking).
  • Full A&R admin – creating, researching and updating meta data for all physical and digital releases.
  • Manually maintaining and managing our release schedules and all associated systems and sharing updates with the wider department and external clients.

Requirements

Who You Are.
  • You have previous record company product experience.
  • Intersted in m usic and record industry developments.
  • Proficient in microsoft office.
  • Strong communcation skills and attention to detail.
  • Organisational skills and ability to handle high volume, conflicting priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships both internally and externally with ease.
It’s a plus if you also have…
  • Knowledge of a wide range of music.
  • Physical and digital marketing experience.
  • An interest in social media and tech.
  • Basic photoshop skills.
