Operations Manager
Description
- Responsible for managing all aspects of facility operations, maintenance, and repairs, including but not limited to, front of house operations, preventive maintenance, third party contracting, limited governmental relationships, staffing, and ongoing venue set-up and tear-down
- Facilitate proper communication and organization in the venue, as well as to and from the Home Office
- Provides overall leadership and support for all staff and management by creating the appropriate culture and character of the venue through his/her own personal and professional conduct
- Maintains positive talent relations by developing a solid understanding of the music industry, to ensure that artists and industry representatives have positive experiences in the venue
- Ensures that all special events are executed properly, to the client’s satisfaction
- Creates very positive guest relations/experiences in a manner that portrays an energetic, sympathetic image of the venue
- Ensures that all outstanding tasks are handled either personally or through delegation to other staff members when appropriate
- Assists Experience Manager with recruiting, hiring, and training
- Supervises part-time staff/supervisors of multiple departments including but not limited to: Guest Services, VIP Upsells, and Operations
- Works closely with GM to oversee budgets for repairs and maintenance and venue house supplies
- Works with GM, to assist in the preparation of annual operations budget
- Maintains and monitors records of all incident reports and investigates/manages all pending cases, including interviewing staff or other witnesses and attending arbitration hearings when necessary
- Ensure optimum operating condition of all facility equipment, such as traffic control and crowd control devices
- Investigates and resolves guest-related complaints
- Implementation and execution of all Live Nation policies, procedures and programs and ensuring that company standards are maintained
- Work closely with EM to create and implement effective recruiting programs for event staff
- Work with EM to manage all training programs and ongoing development of event staff
- Commit to providing a safe and enjoyable facility for guests and employees
- Coordinate and manage approved subcontractors and third-party vendors to ensure safe, efficient, and successful events
- Effectively manages and approves all payroll for in-house departments
- This position oversees and ensures the execution of all operating department compliance policies and procedures
Requirements
- Fast-paced environment with moderate to loud noise level
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Flexible Schedule (days/nights, weekends, holidays)
- Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping
- Ability to wear an earpiece for radio communication for a duration of 4-6 hours
- Candidate is a proven leader with strong management and communications skills
- Extensive knowledge of live music venue operations and facility management required; Including but not limited to Production, Special Event Logistics, and Facility Maintenance.
- Minimum two years experience as House/Operations Manager or a comparable role
- Along with venue General Manager represent the company and facility in all political and community matters and acts as a liaison with local municipalities
- Must have demonstrated experience managing multiple departments
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Experience using Workday and timekeeping systems is a plus
