Description

The North America Marketing team plays a significant role in strengthening Spotify’s brand and category leadership position in the US and Canada. Through strategies and initiatives that activate the Spotify brand and highlight our product within youth culture, we’re able to drive relevance and engagement, and ultimately build demand for Spotify with key strategic audiences. As part of the team, you will help to build, drive and implement marketing strategies and campaigns within the US.
This role requires extensive experience and passion for marketing and culture, with a firm pulse on the Gen Z consumer. We’re looking for someone strategic, innovative, resourceful, adaptable, organized, and collaborative to drive the execution of on- and off-platform marketing campaigns that bring our brand and product to life.
You are passionate about music and culture and have experience leading cross-functional teams, crafting brand storytelling, leading end-to-end workflows and implementing marketing campaigns across various channels including social, digital, experiential, OOH, CRM and press.
What You'll Do
  • Contribute to the development of our annual regional marketing strategy in partnership with Marketing Leads, to ensure all activity is linked directly to our global marketing goals.
  • Develop and implement regional strategy and plans leveraging cultural trends and listening behaviors
  • Serve as the day-to-day road manager for marketing projects including the management of marketing stakeholders that might include: Editorial, Growth, Brand & Creative, Social, Media, On-Platform Promotion, Partnerships, Analytics and Comms to craft and coordinate cohesive, compelling 360 campaigns.
  • Build polished presentations outlining campaigns and go-to-market plans.
  • Supervise campaign budgets, creative deliverables and workback schedules.
  • Coordinate and deliver on campaign retrospectives, working closely with campaign stakeholders and the Spotify analytics and insights teams to uncover insights to advise future initiatives and strategies.
  • Develop positive relationships with internal teams, global marketing teams, and external partners, providing trusted support and delivering on marketing commitments.
  • Find opportunities to develop and refine marketing processes, streamlining communication with cross-functional partners.
  • Develop a creative eye and thoroughly review creative assets for our campaigns.
  • Stay current with the latest industry trends and news including youth culture, music, podcast, media, marketing, and streaming innovations and proactively share with the team.

Requirements

Who You Are
  • You have 6+ proven experience as a consumer marketer, leading brand campaigns.
  • You have a deep understanding of marketing and brand strategy, media, social and experiential marketing. You are comfortable with data and understand how to analyze and apply it to marketing strategies.
  • You have a strong pulse on general music trends, entertainment & culture. You are creative, innovative and constantly conceptualizing on how to uniquely bring marketing campaigns to life.
  • You are familiar with emerging and established youth trends and culture in North America.
  • Experience working with external partners, entertainment, and global teams is strongly preferred.
  • You are proactive, autonomous, solutions-oriented and are comfortable with occasional ambiguity. You have the ability to work under pressure with imminent deadlines and can prioritize tasks in real-time.
  • You are a strong leader with the ability to collaborate and reach consensus with cross-functional team members. You are also pragmatic and equipped to handle difficult conversations and roadblocks.
  • Excellent collaborator and communicator in presentations, documents and meetings and able to represent the Marketing team and its mission to a broad range of partners.
  • You are highly organized, diligent and able to empower oneself and a team in a distributed-first environment.
  • You have experience managing up and dealing with multiple collaborators.
  • You are proficient at using Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets).

The United States base range for this position is $90,140 - $128,772 plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave.
