As part of the Artist Partnerships team within the Music Team at Spotify, you will develop and lead partnerships with artists, managers and key industry collaborators to develop strategic relationships and lead all aspects of impactful strategy for US Latin artists globally. You will work closely across many of Spotify’s key cross-functional teams including Label Partnerships, Editorial, Music Marketing, Creative Development, Experiential Marketing, and more. The US Latin Artist Partnerships, Lead will lead the team innovating around the prioritization of Spotify as a partner, through year-round partnerships. You will also focus on the build-out of sophisticated opportunities across audiences, genres, and Latin fandoms to ensure Spotify continues to deliver the best offerings to artists and rights holders, while crafting the most exciting platform for audiences everywhere.
You will collaborate closely with artists and their teams to foster holistic artist partnerships and seek innovative opportunities to drive audience growth for both Spotify and artists. You will also bring to bear this relationship to further Spotify’s partnership initiatives to the mutual benefit of Spotify and its industry partners.
This position is based in Miami and reports to the Head of Artist Partnerships.
What You'll Do
  • Oversee Spotify’s partnership with US Latin artists, their teams & key US industry partners to drive innovative opportunities that support both the artist & Spotify. Serves as the key internal advisor on campaigns representing US Latin artists/managers across XFN initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Editorial Team to develop and execute US Latin artist & audience strategies for the Music team. Work closely across many of Spotify’s key cross-functional teams including Label Partnerships, Editorial, Music Marketing, Creative Development, Experiential Marketing, and more.
  • Serve as a key partner within the Music Team and XFN in identifying priority artists for Spotify to support both on and off cycle.
  • Advise creative, cultural strategy to build genre innovation, and identify in collaboration with a cross-functional team those artists that Spotify will support in on and off platform promotions.
  • Partner with the Label Partnerships team on frontline release campaigns
  • Responsible for innovating strategic programs and campaigns with artists and managers by demonstrating XFN initiatives to achieve Spotify’s overall business objectives.
  • Lead, develop and inspire a team building a fruitful team culture that combines creativity with data-driven decision making.
  • Provide industry insights and optimize cultural trends to identify cultural moments and artists for campaign investment and support.
  • Work cross-functionally with Music Leads to ensure alignment and fulfill company goals.
  • Attend events, conferences and shows. Travel will be required.

Requirements

Who You Are
  • You have shown experience in an artist & partner facing role.
  • Minimum 8 years of career experience in the music/entertainment industry and a strong understanding of the North American and Global music industries and an excellent reputation amongst your network of artists, managers, labels, agents, promoters and publishers.
  • You must be proficient in Spanish.
  • Significant experience of successfully handling a diverse team and having a track record in successful agile/change management
  • Self-aware and able and willing to examine both your own work and that of your team’s critically in order to continually iterate and improve.
  • You are a learner, eager to create, grow and stay curious. You are solution-oriented and always seeking to collaborate. You are self-motivated, but love to work together as a team.
  • You can work with cross-functional teams across a large distributed global music and technology organization.
  • Have an understanding of modern music styles and wider influences, and continually strive to stay abreast of current trends. You are a fan - you understand how fandom communicates and what drives and excites them.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to create copy and presentations rapidly, and express ideas and insights quickly and clearly to a range of partners.
  • Can be creative, collaborative, and comfortable with analyzing data and understanding how to apply it.

Benefits & Perks

The United States base range for this position is $130,000-162,500, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future
