Label Coordinator
Description
- Assist the Head of the Label with daily tasks, scheduling, and communications.
- Take detailed notes during artist calls, team meetings, and strategy sessions, ensuring clear documentation and action item tracking.
- Ingest music and metadata for digital distribution, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery across all platforms.
- Monitor release schedules and liaise with distributors to resolve any issues.
- Maintain awareness of artists' birthdays, major life events, successes, and triumphs, actively celebrating them through company recognition, including gifts and other gestures.
- Ensure artists have the resources they need to meet their responsibilities on the roster. If any needs arise, facilitate solutions to address them efficiently.
- Act as a supportive liaison between the artists and the company, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
- Prepare the founder to own the room by organizing talking points, presentations, and every detail for speaking engagements.
- Work with artist teams, management, and partners to coordinate travel and promotional activities, ensuring all stakeholders across respective teams have the necessary visibility and access to relevant information.
- Maintain shared calendars, production schedules, and task lists for the team.
- Organize and archive label assets, including contracts, promotional materials, and release assets.
- Assist with promotional campaigns, social media content coordination, and event logistics as needed.
Requirements
- Proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Familiarity with music distribution platforms (e.g., The Orchard, DistroKid, Tunecore) and metadata standards is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in productivity tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello).
- Passion for music and a solid understanding of the music industry.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
