The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for Junior UX/UI Designer with a minimum of 12 months commercial experience in a similar role to join our Digital Innovation & Experimentation Team.
Reporting to the UX Lead; this newly formed role will form part of a cross functional squad; working closely with developers and product owners to provide the best design solutions for our members and customers.
The Digital Innovation & Experimentation Team work closely with teams across PRS to develop digital experiences for our members, customers and business partners. Our work is informed by Agile practice and user insight, to continually deliver fixes and features. We also lead digital in many projects with a commercial focus that develops ideas from inception to launch and beyond.

As our Junior UX/UI Designer, some of your day to day duties will include….
  • Developing process flows, lo-fi wireframes and mid-high-fidelity mock-ups and prototypes in Figma for usability testing
  • Feed into our design system roadmap and be a key contributor to how we progress our libraries
  • Partnering with product owners to define problems and goals, analyse customer data, plan, and conduct user research.
  • Partner with tech leads to understand the feasibility and development of ideas.
  • Turning complex problems into elegantly simple insights, ideas, and solutions to our customers’ problems via workshopping
  • Supporting our UX Lead in running customer research both moderated and unmoderated and sharing these insights to further the company’s understanding of our customer.
  • Using data to help validate your design decisions and drive design changes forward, and socialise the customer voice to the wider company as a UX champion.
  • You will be working closely with our UX Lead to develop your design process, thinking and the PRS approach.
Location
We offer a hybrid working model, allowing employees to work from home for 3 days per week. However, when you see the view from our London Bridge Hub overlooking the River Thames, we are sure you will want to join us in our fun, collaborative working space!

Core essential technical skills
  • Previous experience of working with Design thinking process
  • Working knowledge of Figma and similar design tools
In addition
  • In depth knowledge of accessibility (a11y), relating to UK legislation
  • A portfolio that showcases problem space and solution space case studies
  • A good aptitude to problem solving and self-learning
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience in the following would also be beneficiary
