Description

To deliver high quality control environment and contribute to the Universal UK recorded music division being SoX compliant.
This role would see you working closely with the Head of Accounting, Group FD and the Dutch based global controls assurance team, with the goal of driving improvement across the controls environment.
A key aspect of this engaging with different teams across the business, working collaboratively with these stakeholders to improve the control environment.

Requirements

The B Side: Skills & Experience
Key component of the UK recorded music controls and compliance team, to ensure the division is compliant with SoX requirement. This will include:
  • Monitoring of compliance of controls
  • Leading discussions with various business units to improve and update controls, this will include feeding back issues with existing processes
  • Key point of contact for UMG Global Controls Assurance team
  • Liaising with numerous other departments to improve control environment and processes
  • Performing walkthroughs of controls
  • Operating effectiveness testing
  • Ad hoc work as required – providing support to the Head of Accounting
Person Specification
  • Qualified ACCA/ACA
  • Experience in internal audit/controls (including SoX experience)
  • Proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks
  • Ability to communicate and work at all levels with a large number of stakeholders i.e. staff to senior management
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Systems experience of SAP, HFM, Blackline and Metric-stream desirable
