Description

We’re looking for a passionate marketing leader to join the Soundtrap Freemium Business unit. They will be responsible for the Creator Marketing team with an overall mission to establish Soundtrap as the #1 creative tool for music making and podcast creation globally.
Utilising your experience to help grow the Soundtrap community, awareness of the brand, and the value it offers musicians, songwriters and podcasters. Ultimately, you’ll be a key part of a team reimagining the way creators use the Soundtrap platform.
Soundtrap is a collaborative, cloud-based recording studio for music makers and storytellers. As of November 2017, we are a part of the Spotify family. Our mission is to enable any music and podcast creators, no matter where in the world you are or what device you are using. We’re a unit within Spotify, small enough to adapt quickly and make our own decisions, but with all the resources that we need from the larger company.
What You’ll Do
  • Lead the Soundtrap team responsible for creator marketing, building awareness of Soundtrap, delivering user-centered products to market and grow our subscriber base. The team consists of 11 people across four functions; Brand activation & PR, Product Marketing, Content & Social, and Media & Performance.
  • Drive the narrative of Soundtrap within music creator and podcast creator communities.
  • Own the marketing strategy, align marketing and branding across Soundtrap’s three business units: Freemium, Core and Education.
  • Build and develop team structures, career paths, and resource allocations for the Soundtrap marketing organisation.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with other marketing functions at Spotify.
  • Represent the voice of the market to senior leadership for the three different business units.

Requirements

Who You Are
  • Capable of leading robust teams, delivering impactful results for an entire organisation.
  • You have experience in growth or product marketing, and scaling global tech companies (ideally a successful startup).
  • A forward-thinking leader with vision and a broad approach towards all marketing fields; PR, Brand, Performance, CRM, Content, Social etc.
  • Owned growth marketing channels and driven great results, owning and achieving core growth critical metrics.
  • You have a deep understanding of marketing funnels and know how to optimise and drive each stage.
  • Results-oriented and creative, and are prepared to develop and own moonshot initiatives building awareness for Soundtrap globally alongside experiments for optimising subscriber acquisition.
  • Possess a firm understanding of technology and enjoy working with product and engineering leadership.
  • A specialist in driving simplicity, transparency, and impact across messaging to varied audiences.
  • Are experienced in leading cross-functional teams and projects, influencing key decisions in the organisation that fall outside of your direct purvey.
  • Possess a love of music and podcasts.
  • Worked previously within the US market.
