Global Senior Manager, Experiential & Content Production

Spotify’s Global Experiential and Content Production team is seeking a Senior Manager with well-rounded content and event production experience to join our team. As part of the Global Affairs organization, you will collaborate with Comms, AdsBusiness, Content, Brand, Artist, and Marketing partners to execute tentpole brand initiatives and events globally.
As a senior producer, you will play a key role in delivering creative content and managing live event production while building off of platform experiences and tools that connect creators and artists and/or brands with their fans around the world. You will build scalable solutions to enhance the success of these projects and support GECP’s Associate Director in the development, management, and flawless execution of our team objectives and project goals.
You will establish and socialize processes to iterate and improve on what we deliver today. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences audio.
What you'll do
  • Supervise and manage content pre and post-production work streams to deliver creative content on time and on budget.
  • Work with internal leaders and post supervisors, to clearly communicate visual and content edits throughout the post production life cycle in advance of content air
  • Oversee vital legal approvals and licensing rights related to visuals, talent appearances, and songs
  • Manage production timeline and ensure all rights holders are tracking
  • Lead creative asset traffic between internal departments and external production partners
  • Work closely with operations manager to align on timeline, deadlines, communications and scheduling needs
  • Lead content capture shoots from early development stages of collaborating with internal partners through pre-production development and onsite execution
  • Oversee and advise a small team of freelance producers or FTE while mentoring and providing constructive feedback
  • Produce live extensions (content, concerts, performances, events, installations) for Spotify, artist, and/or brand partners for audiences of fans, industry, press
  • Directly lead the planning, production, and execution of our live events, with specific attention to the objectives of each initiative
  • Build and lead production budgets and oversee event timelines, vendor relationships, approvals
  • Build, manage and complete the production and show schedules for each live event
  • Be a member of the experiential arm of the team and able to manage on-site execution and logistics
  • Have the knowledge / understanding of the outstanding stage production (lighting, audio, production design vendors and personnel we can tap into for execution, choosing the best suited for each initiative)
  • Have a creative point of view on projects / productions assigned, while providing insights to great design, innovations, fresh concepts, and exciting production partners
  • Lead the production and creative elements for activation and deliver elements on time
  • Work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to transition the concept to reality in content visually or experientially
  • Work with the design team to provide feedback and ideas to improve and elevate the ideas
  • Set expectations for what success looks like (responsible for quality control of team’s production output)
  • Set the vision for partners and vendors that can drive innovation in our approach
  • Mentor team members to manage day-to-day vendor relationships
  • Mentor more junior members of the team, helping them understand the production process, with detailed training on the ways of working you have developed with XFN partners
  • Understanding of the print and fabrication process for activations with a vast rolodex of partners to execute

Requirements

  • You are experienced with 8+ years of content, event, and show production experience
  • Strategic problem solver who understands the team’s needs and develops experiences to address business challenges
  • You know how to build brand experiences, produce short form content, and manage and oversee the execution of speaker support visuals
  • You have experience working with content and post-production teams in running edits and feedback loop for on-time and on-budget content delivery
  • You have a deep understanding of translating brand needs into experiential activations and care about bringing things to life with a visual point of view
  • Your attention to detail and ability to multitask is core to who you are
  • You have a deep understanding of the global live music landscape, including key players, production managers, production vendors, touring crews, and concert venues (traditional and non-traditional venues and locations)
  • You have a clear understanding of how to build a proper production schedule, lead pre production for a live show or execution, set labor calls, and negotiate rates
  • Draft and over see vendor management, contractors, budgets and reconciliation
  • You have creatively developed and produced live events on a large scale
  • You lead by example, being an advocate and mentor for the team (and any potential reports) but understanding Spotify’s goals
  • You have production experience, including understanding of staging, lighting, and branding
  • You have a strong understanding of artist needs and the artist booking process
  • You have a global mentality and experience being flexible and working with vendors and team members across multiple offices and timezones
  • You can lead vendors, freelancers, partners and other collaborators as part of a large production and keep all elements in order and on track
  • You effectively empower stakeholders in the development of events and lead the process with the ability to drive the story and creative vision
  • You have the ability to mix creativity with critical thinking and demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • The following proficiencies are a bonus:
  • Bilingual in English and one of the following: Spanish, French, or Portuguese
