About the Role
The role holder will be responsible for key financial duties that are critical to meeting tight month end reporting deadlines as well as other statutory and management reporting deadlines. Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance and working with all members of the finance team as well as other departments including close liaison with the synch department and communication with the international affiliates’ finance teams. The role holder will also deal regularly with clients in respect of credit control activity and external auditors.
What You’ll Do: (job responsibilities)
  • Accounts Receivable – Credit Control chasing debt on outstanding synch invoices.
  • Uploading monthly synch invoices and updating income schedule with details.
  • Dealing with withholding tax certificates and applications.
  • Analysing T&E, Marketing and other key spend to provide management with a monthly overview.
  • Liaising with and responding to enquiries from external auditors during year end audits.
  • Completing National Statistics questionnaires / surveys.
  • Assisting with Tempo* reconciliations and true ups.
  • Responsible for monthly recharges of various costs to affiliates.
  • *SMP’s inhouse Royalties database

Requirements

Essential requirements
  • experience of working in a finance support role.
  • High levels of numeracy
  • High levels of accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Excel.
  • Tenacity
  • Experience of using an accounting system
Desirable requirements
  • Previous experience of credit control
  • Finance related degree or qualification
  • Good knowledge/ experience of other Office 365 applications (e.g. One Drive, Sharepoint etc.)
  • Experience or knowledge of Business Central Finance System
  • Proficient in using Power BI
  • Passionate about music
