Raymond Gubbay Ltd, London’s leading promoter of popular classical music, dance and trail events, is seeking to appoint a full time enthusiastic Event Assistant to join its busy event department.
The company regularly presents over 500 events a year in London and around the UK and the role would play an active part in supporting the event department’s many and varied activities.
The role will require a dedicated and motivated individual to support and work with the event team to deliver a diverse and exciting range of concerts and shows throughout the year.
What you'll do
  • Reporting to the Head of Events as required to ensure that they and other members of the department are kept up to speed.
  • Liaising with artists and agents regularly regarding details of performances.
  • To co-ordinate and organise concerts in the form of advancing technical information to venues, communicating rehearsal details to performers, organising artist travel and accommodation and general office administration as required.
  • To regularly attend and manage concert performances around the UK, acting as a representative for the company and as artist liaison/point of contact.
  • To maintain and develop the existing administrative process involved in producing a large number of events throughout the year. To work closely with the events team in developing new projects and also ensuring proper delivery of existing product

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, driven and reliable individual with a passion for live performance and a good understanding of both classical music and other genres.
  • Proofreading and copywriting experience would be an advantage.Good attention to detail and phone manner with excellent written and communication skills.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office (in particular Excel and Word).
  • Someone who is able to manage a number of projects and meet the appropriate deadlines as required.
  • The ability to show initiative when working both independently and as part of a small team.
  • Ability to drive (with valid UK drivers licence) preferred.
