Data Analyst
Description
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams of business stakeholders, data scientists, user researchers, product managers, and engineers who are passionate about our music.
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality across Utopia
- Work with marketing teams to translate business problems into technical solutions.
- Build dashboards and exploratory analysis to help teams understand their data.
- Help drive product and design decisions, and analyse large sets of data to extract impactful insights on user behaviour.
- Set up, monitor, and analyse experiments.
- Define events, build pipelines, and build tools together with the data science teams
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Data Analyst
- Expert in SQL and proficient in Python
- Proficiency with data visualisation tools - we use Tableau but we are open to any data visualisation tooling.
- Technical expertise in data modelling, database designs and data visualisation
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets
- Operationally proficient with the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver clear results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A team player with good interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across organisational boundaries, embrace change, work in matrix management arrangements and be deployed to different teams and projects to proactively make improvements to working practices
- Good stakeholder management skills, able to build rapport and credible, trusted and strong working relationship
- Industry experience within music or fintech
- Experience with big data environments & technologies
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud platform)
