Creative A&R Manager
Description
We are looking for a dynamic creative A&R manager to join our team at next generation music label FRTYFVE. Our mission is to transform viral moments into long term music careers for emerging, high potential independent artists.

Artist Development and Production
- Work closely with artists to develop and refine their sound and style, providing feedback on their music and assisting with the production process.
- Use data to identify market and new genre opportunities for our artists and creative alternate versions of their release to break them into new territories and genres
- Attend live performances for all active artists signed to FRTYFVE
- Work closely with the A&R team to coordinate artist scheduling, studio time, and release schedules
- Set up writing camps and sessions
- Provide regular updates to senior management on artist development and upcoming releases
- Use data to identify market and new genre opportunities for our artists and creative alternate versions of their release to break them into new territories and genres
- Source collaboration and feature opportunities for artists signed to FRTYFVE
Networking and Industry Relations
- Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts, including producers, songwriters, managers, and publishers in each of our key markets such as USA, UK, Germany, France etc.
- Build strong relationships with publishers and writers to source pitch records for active artists signed to FRTYFVE
- Build and maintain relationships with artists, managers and lawyers for artists signed to FRTYFVE
Negotiation:
- Negotiate agreements with writers and producers and work with legal to paperwork all deals
- At times, you may need to clear samples, features, etc.
Maintain Industry Knowledge:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the A&R space.
- Continuously learn and adapt to ensure the success of un-cvrd and the artists they work with.
Marketing and Promotion:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative strategies and campaigns that support our active artist releases
- Develop all communication documents needed to pitch FRTYFVE to talent, including but not limited to: email copy, project overview and pitch decks, case studies, and any visual assets required
Budget Management and Trend Analysis:
- Develop and manage A&R budgets
- Keep up to date with current and future trends in music, music business, digital trends & pop culture which you think could be beneficial for the label and our artists
Requirements
Experience Required:
- Proven experience in artist development, A&R, and/or music production
- Strong understanding of the music industry and current trends
- Experience in marketing and promotion of music releases
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities
- Budget management experience
- Knowledge of legal requirements for music industry agreements
- Strong analytical and data-driven approach to decision making
- Passion for music and dedication to supporting artists' careers.
