Description

This role of Copyright Analyst within the Sony Music Publishing (UK) Copyright Department takes responsibility across:
  • Processing the smooth flow of new and amended copyright information
  • Ensuring that workflow data standards are at a suitably high level at all times
  • Working with internal managers and clients to issue copyright registrations with recognised industry standards
  • Dynamic response to registration issues - society liaison is integral
  • Duplicate Claims processing
  • Key communication lines with Senior Management and counterparts at other publishers and collection agencies

Requirements

Using initiative to achieve results in the above, it will be vital for the job holder to be proactive in problem solving and to report to their manager on any backlogs and more complex copyright issues (incl. general queries, legacy data analysis, data driven reporting and new catalogue analysis).
