Description

The Role:
Roc Nation Publishing is looking for a candidate to join our team as a Coordinator. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of music publishing and be highly motivated, organized and detail oriented, forward thinking and a self starter. The incumbent in this position will be exposed to the business and creative sides of publishing - learning how we build value for our clients through song placements, sessions, and strategic opportunities.
The ideal candidate has studied some music, music production, or a technical skill such as engineering. The incumbent does not have to have any previous success in any of these fields, rather enough experience and understanding to form a creative opinion and articulate this.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the President of Publishing
  • Song registration and file organization
  • Coordinating songwriter sessions
  • Coordinating songwriter travel budgets
  • Overseeing the storage of songs
  • Becoming familiar with the Roc Nation catalog and putting folders together for sync pitches
  • Liaising with other departments within the company
  • Coordinate Publishing Company team meetings
  • Keep operations of Publishing running smoothly

Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must have a passion for music and be up to date on current trends with popular music
  • Must have impeccable task execution and follow up, as well as, excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Ability to work both independently and within a dynamic team environment
  • Interest in learning new (web) related technologies and software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & Google Documents
  • Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities and maintain composure under stressful/time-sensitive situations.
  • Familiarity with social networking sites desired. TikTok and Instagram are a must
  • Familiarity with Keynote / PowerPoint / Canva
