Content Producer, The Afternoon Show
Description
- You will work collaboratively with another part-time producer.
- Your working days will be fixed but studio production days will vary each week as the team work on a rolling rota.
- You will be responsible for planning and scripting your shows, including sourcing content, compiling the playlist and working with researchers to compile research brief and source illustrative clips.
- You will work closely with the presenters ensuring they have the resources they need in the run up and during the show.
- You will work across a range of platforms including VCS Dira, One Drive, Proteus, Soundmouse, ibroadcast, Teams and Studio booking systems.
- You will contribute to daily meetings and follow up talent bids and source fresh and diverse voices.
- You will also forward plan for big events including music, book and film festivals and find ways for the show to connect with listeners whether it is introducing new features or suggesting reasons for getting out of the studio and into the community.
Requirements
- You will be an experienced audio producer, brimming with ideas for content which fit the editorial remit.
- You will be a good communicator able to find the best contributors including finding new diverse voices.
- You will be able to write engaging and informative scripts which speak to the listener.
- You will be able to edit content to a high standard and have a strong knowledge of contemporary music.
- You’ll enjoy working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- You’ll be a team player able to pick up and handover workloads.
- You’ll deliver high quality content which adheres to our editorial guidelines and maintains the excellent reputation of the team.
