The Content Producer, Marketing will develop, produce, capture, and edit compelling video, audio, and moving graphic content to further the mission of MusiCares. The experienced Content Producer will play a key role in executing MusiCares’ digital strategy. A good balance of creativity and technical and communication skills are essential in supporting the Marketing team in this position.
What You'll Do:
  • Collaborate on and execute a digital content strategy that promotes awareness of MusiCares' mission, goals, programs, and services and delivers on-brand, diverse, and inclusive content.
  • Write, capture, produce, and edit highly engaging and shareable audio and video content for MusiCares’ website and social platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Instagram Stories, Instagram Reels, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, keeping a pulse on new and emerging platforms. In partnership with the Social Media Manager, identify and execute content that organically includes MusiCares in larger trends and social conversations.
  • Through a combination of self-capture and film crew management, occasionally attend MusiCares’ programs, clinics, and events to produce video content that authentically tells the story of our mission and how we help the music community.
  • Create and capture original content to develop an asset library for PR, brand campaigns, events, marketing materials, website, social, etc. using creativity to circumvent capture limitations surrounding client confidentiality.
  • Collaborate on monthly tent pole campaign strategy and create original content that serves to amplify designated themes.
  • Produce and maintain relevant, dynamic sizzle reels for promotional and internal use.
  • Partner on visual elements of MusiCares mission-based editorials that strategically support existing tent pole initiatives.
  • When applicable, capture content of partnership activations to provide optimal digital partnership fulfillment.
  • Develop and execute onsite content capture strategies for large MusiCares fundraising events and initiatives, such as Person of the Year.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years as a content creator from conception to final edit with a portfolio to support your work.
  • Passion for MusiCares’ mission and desire for a career in service.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry-standard photography and video hardware (cameras, lighting, audio capture devices, etc.) and software (particularly Avid, FCP, Canva, InDesign, and the Adobe Creative Cloud applications of: Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop and Illustrator).
  • Strong understanding of producing/editing video for social and multi-media use, including organizing and importing raw media, editing footage and sound files, titling, and adding music/voice-over/SFX.
  • Hands-on production experience through the entire pre-to-post production process.
  • Knowledge of Mac Applications, Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, digital video cameras, camera rigs, lighting equipment, stands, flags, green screen, backdrops, sets, props, audio recording equipment, etc., required.
  • Communicates well both verbally and in writing, with strong grammar, editing, and proofreading skills, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills, builds strong relationships, consistently demonstrates positive and professional demeanor, negotiates effectively.
  • Has excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Keeps information organized and accessible, works efficiently while managing workload. Prioritizes tasks appropriately and manages time well. Successfully establishes goals, deadlines, and procedures and manages multiple projects or objectives.
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to interact with variety of different constituents.
  • Is able to maintain composure in high-stress, complex situations to ensure the smooth and efficient running of an event; has excellent decision-making skills, clear communication and delegation; fosters welcoming hospitality.
