Communications Manager
Description
What You’ll Do
External Communications:
- Assist in building press lists for upcoming press initiatives.
- Monitor and catalog mentions of TuneCore in media outlets.
- Build reports calculating KPIs for press releases and other initiatives
- Draft executive announcements
- Create weekly and monthly reports that showcase TuneCore’s reach and coverage in media outlets.
Internal Communications:
- Liaise with Believe Internal Communications to highlight and communicate TuneCore news throughout the organization
- Responsibility for keeping executives informed on competitor and relevant industry news
Thought Leadership, Industry Relations, Executive Communications and other:
- Provide supporting assets for all speaking engagements
- Build and maintain calendars - editorial and conferences - for music industry events
- Assist with industry relations
- Assist with executive communications
- Support ad-hoc tasks as they relate to communications initiatives.
- Help with other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of work experience in communications or PR
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in communications and PR
- A strong writer and wordsmith
- A whiz at Powerpoint/ Google sheets

- You are very organized and have the ability to work across several projects at once
It Would Be Music To Our Ears If:
- You’re equipped with thorough understanding of Excel
- You have knowledge of project management tools such as Asana and Jira
- You’re at your best in a fast-paced, startup type environment
