Responsibilities
  • Oversee all editorial content production and production teams, including post-production
  • Ownership of all aspects of video content production from concept through content posting
  • Provide creative direction to production teams designed to achieve viewership and revenue goals
  • Oversees quality assurance testing and ensures all projects meet the highest quality standards
  • Continuously improves production processes and implements best practices
  • Stays up-to-date with emerging technologies and provides insights on how they can be integrated into projects.
  • Prepare questions, assets, gameplay, etc. ahead of scheduled content shoots. Attend shoots as necessary.
  • Ensure content is relevant, engaging, and strategically aligned with platform algorithms and user behaviors.
  • Use analytics to measure content performance across channels. Use insights to refine strategies and increase content efficacy and audience reach.
  • Make decisive decisions that drive the creative process forward and ensure that all content meets company’s standards for quality, innovation, and information.
  • Collaborate and proactively solve issues with team leads and cross-functional leads
  • Creative brainstorming, writing creative briefs, scripts, treatments, copy as needed
  • Production for any live or special event related content both in studio or on location, including but not limited to Grammys, SXSW, Billboard’s Latin Music Week

Requirements

Requirements
  • Minimum 15+ years video production experience at a publisher, network/streamer or studio
  • Extensive experience as creative director or strategist, with a proven track record of producing a variety of successful content for YouTube or other digital platforms
  • Management experience, successfully leading teams of 5-10 people, including producers, videographers and post teams across music, pop culture, entertainment, social media and adjacent industries
  • Experience developing and overseeing production operations that promote efficiency and cost savings
  • Understanding of digital content consumption metrics and how to use them to inform content decisions Self-starter who is used to working with tight deadlines and minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Understanding of fair use and news production
  • Livestreaming experience a plus
  • Fluency in Spanish a plus
