Audio Engineer
Description
- Provide operational support to programs for live to air transmissions, pre-recorded programs, outside recordings and broadcasting live music.
- Monitor and address operational and transmission problems, providing creative solutions and recommending improvements to workflows.
- Record and mix complex audio for studio, field and music, studio and field productions using a range of audio production tools, software and sound design skills.
- Liaise with producers and content teams in planning and coordinating productions providing a creative contribution through sound design and work effectively to tight deadlines.
Requirements
- High level understanding of radio broadcast network arrangements and proven ability to adapt to new technology.
- Experience in planning and prioritising projects and tasks, delivering with a high attention to detail while working under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Strong computer literacy skills with a highly advanced knowledge of computer-based systems for broadcasting and audio editing.
- Advanced editing and creative mixing skills for broadcast and podcast programs.
- Knowledge and experience in the setup of studio and outside broadcasts & recordings, including WHS standards and safe manual handling procedures.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to work harmoniously with a diverse range of people.
