Description
Requirements
- Tour press for US and Canadian markets (securing regional press for our clients while they are on tour including major markets such as NYC and Los Angeles)
- Working with the other tour publicists to maintain up to date database national media contacts and contacts in regional markets
- Target media list building
- Assisting senior publicists on aspects of national campaigns including online and regional outreach, booking sessions for artists in all markets, assisting with press release execution via Constant Contact
- Overseeing interns as needed
- Coordinating and compiling weekly press reports
- Accompanying artists to press while they are in town
- Festival support (overseeing press applications, press lists, agendas, onsite staffing and more)
- Going to Grandstand NYC or LA area shows
- Helping to mind Grandstand Media socials including our bi-weekly playlists
- Uploading artist assets to the Grandstand Website
- Assisting senior publicists on projects as needed
- Some travel for events required

With a combined 50 years of experience, Grandstand Media partners Dana Erickson, Kate Jackson, Lisa Gottheil and Meghan Helsel have overseen publicity on a wide scope of projects in the music, non-profit, event, film, literary and political arenas. Originally two companies, Erickson and Gottheil had headed up 2:30 Publicity, a New York based music PR firm established in 1996 and Jackson and Helsel had created Grandstand in early 2012 after leaving their posts at Sub Pop and Jensen Communications respectively. The two companies came together in March of 2013 in order to create a broader suite of services with staff and offices in both New York City and Los Angeles, CA.
