Asia Distribution Account Representative
Description
- Strive to achieve budgeted sales and profit targets for the assigned sales area.
- Make regular sales calls to distributors in the assigned area and keep in contact between visits by telephone and e-mail.
- Travel within the territory is required, along with occasional travel for regional sales meetings, industry trade shows and meetings.
- Work with distributors to place future dated orders to secure products/sales and provide accurate sales forecast.
- Monitor and assist distributors on promotions and rebate schemes, ensuring terms and conditions are adhered to.
- Monitor and manage the credit account for each distributor in the territory.
- Responsible for all product representation in-store and online to comply with company requirements and regulations.
- Maintain control of distributors’ inventory ensuring correct stock levels are maintained, new products are presented and exit strategies for discontinued products implemented.
- Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the region that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
- Prepare action plans for each distributor based on strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities in each territory.
- Accomplish objectives of annual business plan, timelines, and budget, including forecasting and sales analysis.
- Work with distributors and marketing dept to enhance marketing/branding activities such as artist relations and events.
- Exploit opportunities to bring new players into the existing market to build the long-term business pipeline.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with distributors and potential new clients.
- Present monthly/weekly reports.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Japanese
- Proven ability to manage sales, marketing, and administrative functions
- Travel arrangements in APAC countries
- Good planning and organizational skills and ability to be a self-starter
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and IT devices
- Ability to work on own initiative and be self-motivated
- Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing priorities
- Solid analytical skills to forecast and identify product/sales trends
- Exceptional business acumen with strong instinct for growth opportunities
- Knowledge of the Musical Instruments and DAW/Pro Audio industry preferable
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 3+ years of work experience with wholesale with Asia customers and cultural sensitivity, and brand experience
