Job Purpose: Lead research across multiple facets of SMP income tracking.
What You’ll Do: (job responsibilities)
  • Collaboration with staff across multiple departments to meet expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment
  • Use multiple systems and resources to ensure royalties are effectively tracked with a focus on physical, digital & stream mechanicals
  • Responsible for identification and recovery of income on royalty shortfalls
  • Assist with questions from outside departments to ensure proper processing & quality assurance
  • Assist with cyclical royalty summaries & financial reporting
  • Assist with ad hoc requests/projects

Requirements

Who You Are: (skills and experience required)
  • Solid understanding of copyright economics and industry standard accounting principles and practices
  • A highly organized person that pays close attention to the details
  • You strive for efficiency & effectiveness in your responsibilities
  • You are a clear and effective communicator
  • Exceptional interpersonal relationship building
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and foster teamwork and unity within a department
  • You have a strategic mindset and lean on data to inform and track business goals
  • Advanced proficiency of various computer applications such as MS Excel, with the ability to quickly learn programs that work with large volumes of data (Power BI)
  • 3 or more years of income tracking, royalties, and/or other related experience required
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • 7.5-hour business workday but variations in work volume frequently require extended working hours for evening and late-night events
