Who we are
[Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities]
- Plan and produce songs and albums for HYBE and partnered artists
- Manage domestic and overseas producers, composers, and songwriters; Seek out and calls on artists, songwriters, managers, A&R representatives and attorneys
- Analyze/manage song supply & demand, release date, budgeting, and project scheduling
- Handle various on-site tasks at concerts and performances
- Coordinate with other publishers, record labels, artists, producers, talent managers and other stakeholders of Company
- Attend concerts, clubs and other performances and showcases (auditions) for new artists, writers and bands
- Coordinate records/sessions – files for mixing/mastering, recording budgets etc
- Relevant administrative work, including updating and organizing files, checklists, processing and tracking expenses and invoices, and calendar management
- Coordinate itinerary and travel arrangements for artists, and studio sessions
[Work Environment]
- Some business travel may be required
- May have a flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays due to responding to HQ in the South Korea time zone as well as album release/recording schedules
- Exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels
- May work remotely to comply with safety regulations regarding COVID-19
- There is an expectation that all HYBE members are to perform his or her responsibilities in a manner that supports HYBE’s core values and actively contributes to delivering the best possible results for the whole of the HYBE business
- As ambassadors for the company, it is a requirement that all HYBE members present themselves in a professional manner that reflects positively on the organization and the premium contents and services we represent
Requirements
[Qualifications - Required]
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5-7 years of experience in A&R or music publishing with established networks in the industry
- A passion for music and work
- Outstanding communication skills and interpersonal skills to work with internal and external partners such as producers and songwriters
[Qualifications - Preferred/Optional]
- Relevant experience at major studio or recording company/labels
- Experience in leading and hosting a Song Camp
- Extensive knowledge about Korean and/or international artists, producers, composers, writers and the overall music business
[Optional Assignment]
- You may submit one or both assignments to show your knowledge and skills:
- Review the current concept and make a proposal for the future conceptual direction of BTS in the U.S. market
- A short review of TXT’s debut or mini album
